Start with the longest item
A sofa, mattress or wardrobe can determine whether a van is suitable even when the rest of the load is small. Measure length, width and height, including packaging. Check which parts can actually be removed and whether the item must stay upright.
Volume is not the only limit
The vehicle’s usable space and legal payload are different constraints. Many compact heavy boxes can reach a weight limit before the van looks full. Tell the operator your approximate total weight and identify particularly heavy items for assessment.
Leave room for a safe loading plan
A list of dimensions is more useful than a guess that everything will stack. Fragile goods, awkward shapes and items that must not support weight need appropriate space and restraint. The operator should confirm that the load can be carried safely.
One trip or several?
Multiple trips add travel and handling time and may not fit the agreed schedule. Share a full inventory before deciding. The C3Moves preview offers vehicle choices for exploring an estimate, but selecting a vehicle is not an operational capacity confirmation.
