Describe a typical day
List collection points, expected stops and the size and weight of typical consignments. Note how much volumes vary. A route based on an average day may not suit peak demand, so explain the range of work.
Make time windows explicit
Identify fixed receiving hours, loading restrictions and the point at which goods are ready. Distinguish hard deadlines from preferences. Stop duration and loading order can shape a multi-drop route as much as the travel distance.
Agree how exceptions are handled
Specify escalation contacts and what should happen when goods change, receivers are absent or a delivery cannot be completed. Define what information needs to be returned after a job.
Confirm the service before scaling
Start with a clear scope and confirm capacity, responsibilities, reporting and commercial terms. A request for recurring work is not a capacity reservation. Use the business enquiry to prepare the details for that conversation.
